Vessel Disorders

The research of vessel disorders addresses the pathologies of the vascular circulation in the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system.

These are diseases of the arteries (blood vessels that carry oxygen away from the heart), veins (blood vessels that carry oxygen back to the heart), and capillaries (tiny connections between veins and arteries that deliver oxygen and nutrients to tissues).

This includes, but is not limited to, research on stroke, hemorrhage, thrombosis in the venous system, and vascular malformations.
